EFCA facilitates civil society engagement in the resolution of community issues. Many people in Central Asia rely solely on the government for the resolution of social issues due to lack of awareness about existing opportunities for involvement. EFCA believes that the best way to improve quality of life in the region is through improved cooperation between citizens, governmental agencies, and the business community.

The Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia firmly believes that citizens of Kazakhstan can and should participate in the achievement of their own prosperity by taking initiative and demonstrating responsibility for their own actions. In order to achieve this goal, EFCA promotes the following activities:

• Study tours for organizations and individuals to exchange experiences and interests
• Collaboration and partnership between stakeholders, including government, business, and non-commercial sectors
• Creation and capacity-building of local organizations to successfully implement independent projects
• Transparency and compliance with local laws, for the organization and its partners
