Training held on business-planning for villagers
Today, on 10 November 2017 in Kuryk village (Mangistau region, Karakiya district) was completed a five-day training on the basics of business planning. The training was organized by the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia (EFCA) within the framework of the project "development of entrepreneurial potential in Kuryk village" with the financial support of ERSAI Caspian Contractor.
As a coach served Askar Sekerbaev, who is a practicing business coach. Earlier in the framework of the project, the foundation held a series of trainings on financial literacy for residents of Kuryk village, as well as a competition of business ideas for the selection of the most active residents of the village. As a result, 42 applications were submitted for participation in the training.
The main goal of the training is to develop viable business plans based on the business ideas proposed earlier by the participants. Within the five days, the training participants learned the basics of business planning, including the structure of a business plan, marketing research, accounting, financial reporting, types and strategies of business models and much more. One of the objectives of the training was to prepare the participants for the final competition of business startups held by ERSAI.
During the training, participants learned how to develop business plans, analyze existing products/services and the local market, prepare a financial balance sheet (profit and loss statement), and learned the skills of effective presentation to protect business plans.
"For the first time, paying 5 days of training, I do not feel the loss of my time. This training is one of the few that filled me with inspiration and motivation," says one of the participants.
"Money is a force that comes with confidence," said business coach from Kulsary Askar Sekerbayev, who completed his training for the residents of the village of Kuryk. “The main thing for young startups is motivation. There are four types of motivation: money, personal reasons, the desire to do something qualitatively and, finally, debt. Only the presence of all four components will allow you to be successful."
