Training courses for parents of children with cerebral palsy were conducted in the cities of Astana and Kokshetau

Within the framework of the USAID project "Initiative in support of the effective management" PA "Taza niet - Astana" implements the social project "Zharaysyn", which is aimed at social support and rehabilitation of children with disabilities through training of parents and staff providing the special social services.

PF "Astana Taza Niet" together with the medical and social institution for disabled children with psycho-neurological pathologies and pathologies of the musculoskeletal system in the cities of Astana and Kokshetau held a training course on the "Social support and rehabilitation of children with disabilities through training of parents and staff providing the special social services" on the 25-28 April, 2016. The course was conducted by the MD, professor, Honored Doctor of the Republic of Tatarstan, the main rehabilitator of the RT V.A.Isanova, Kazakhstani doctors and specialists.

During the course 150 parents and the SSS employees were trained to care for the child, including the work with rehabilitation equipment, physical therapy techniques and defectology, occupational therapy, as well as the provision of psychological support to mothers and children. Participants confirmed the relevance of the chosen theme of the course because of the usefulness and novelty of the information obtained during the course of study, which were given the highest scores.
