The "Management in the Nonprofit Sector" MBA program

The NGO Policy Center of the School of Public and Public Policy at the Almaty Management University and the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia (EFCA) announce a competition for an educational grant for Kazakhstani citizens to participate in the MBA program on management in the nonprofit sector with the financial support of Chevron in Kazakhstan within the framework of the Initiative for Capacity Building of NGO Experts in Kazakhstan.

The development of the sustainability and competitiveness of Kazakhstan's non-governmental sector is the main goal of this program.

Based on the results of training, applicants will be able to:

  • organize work on the development of NGO management and project activities of NGOs;

  • provide analytical, consulting, methodological, educational, informational and technical support in accordance with the thematic activity of any NGO;

  • acquire the skills of organizing and supporting projects on social ideas; and

  • Learn about the organization of work regarding information and consulting support, logistics and reporting on grants, activities within the state social order, as well as other international donors, and much more.

Target group: heads and employees of public organizations, young leaders of NGOs, members of initiative groups.

The training is remote.

 

Tuition fees:

The grant covers 50% of the cost of all training, 50% of the cost is paid by the student.

Training is provided by the best faculty of Almaty Management University, as well as invited practitioners and experts in the field of civil society development.

 

Requirements for admission:

- a diploma from an institution of higher education; and

- computer literacy.

 

Acceptance of documents - from April 1 to August 15, 2015.

The competition will be held from August 15 to August 30, 2015.

 

Consideration of applications will be carried out by the Bid Evaluation Committee, which will include the heads of the School of Public and Public Policy at ALMA University and the staff of EFCA.

At the end of the program, students are awarded their qualifications (academic degree) - a Master of Business Administration with a specialty of management of non-profit organizations. They are issued a state diploma.
