Round table on the project "Birlestik Zholy" was held in Kokshetau

Kokshetau, Kazakhstan - June 21, 2016, the Charitable Foundation eKOMEK within the framework of USAID's "Initiative to Support Effective Governance" project "Birlistik Zholy" together with the Akmola regional branch of the Youth wing "Zhas Otan" with the party "Nur Otan" support of the Directorate for Youth Policy of the Akmola region in Kokshetau held a round table on the theme "Birlistik zholy: Inclusive society, problems of people with disabilities and ways to solve them."

During the event, members of the Expert Group of the Project "Berlestik Zholy" A. Erzhan, Director of the Public Fund "Charitable Foundation" ecomet "and J. Saduakasov, Head of the Center "ECOR" under LLP "DORSTROITREST", together with R. Mukataev, Advisor of the Akim of Kokshetau Issues of Persons with Disabilities, A. Akbarova, Deputy Head of the Department for Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of the Akmola region, discussed the issues of providing affordable housing for people with disabilities and creating an accessible environment in Akmolinsk the difficulties of finding jobs for people with high needs, prospects for the development of social entrepreneurship in the region.

As a result of the round table, proposals were developed to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities, partners were identified to find the best solutions to the issue and prepare recommendations on the provision of affordable housing at the legislative level. About 30 people took part in the event.
