Press release: A seminar-training "Identification of types of violence and abuse against women and children" was held in Taraz
Taraz, April 6-7, the public association "Otandastar" with financial support of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Kazakhstan held a seminar-training "Identification of types of violence and abuse against women and children" as part of the project "Right for confidentiality" in framework of the program "Strengthening the capacity of NGOs in the South Kazakhstan for promotion of human rights reform" of the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia and the European Union Delegation.
The training seminar was aimed at the acquisition of the necessary tools and skills to identify the types of violence and abuse against women and children for employees of the department of women protection from violence and division of juvenile police of the local police service of Zhambyl and Almaty region.
The trainer of the seminar was Zulfiya Baisakova, chairman of the Union of Crisis Centers of Kazakhstan, member of the Expert Council of the Human Rights Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
