Press release: A meeting in support of the group "equal" was conducted in Shelek

April 7, 2016 CF "Erekshe Tandau Shelek" conducted a meeting in support of the group "equal" for 15 children with disabilities in frames of the project "The school for everyone" with the financial support of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Kazakhstan in the framework of program of the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia "Strengthening the capacity of NGOs in the South Kazakhstan for promotion of human rights reforms."

Goal of the event is activation of children with disabilities in obtaining high-quality school education and socialization in the school community.

Dauren Bekgozhaev, the organizer:

- Due to the fact that these children are, well, they have a limited capacity, they are embarrassed to go to school, they are harassed at school, well, mostly. Because of this, they are taught at home, some are not taught at all. And so, we want to make sure that they are not shy, as all have the same rights and they too can go to school and, most importantly, that they should not be embarrassed of themselves.
