These organizations are participants of the Mentorship program of the "Empowering South Kazakhstan CSOs to promote human rights" project, implemented by the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia with the support of the European Union Delegation to Kazakhstan.
The training was aimed at informing the organizations working with people with disabilities about the main principles, approaches and standards for drafting an analytical report, as well as to acquirement of necessary tools and practices in assessing the results of NGOs performance in the field of human rights at the local, regional and national levels.
The training was attended by chairs and coordinators of 5 NGOs of Almaty and Zhambyl oblasts. The trainer was Lyzzat Kaltayeva, the project partner and Chair of PU "Association of Women with Disabilities "Shyrak".
The coach touched upon the questions such as the principles of writing a research report; structure and content of each of its components; common data analysis methods; as well as practical exercises on conclusions and recommendations based on the results of activities, in which NGOs presented the information on the current status of their projects and potential for further development. In addition, the participants jointly defined and agreed on the schedule of mentor site visits and discussed details of the upcoming working meeting with representatives of the central authorities in Astana.
During two days, the participants have mastered the complex knowledge, aimed at analyzing the work done on the issue of vulnerable groups and the identification of specific goals to improve their situation, which in turn will increase the professional level of local NGOs in advocacy campaigns of their respective focus groups.
"The main aim of the analytical report is to present recommendations arising from the analysis of the results of project activities. This training allowed the NGOs to get acquainted with essential requirements and tools for writing this kind of document, "- said Lyazzat Kaltayeva, project partner and mentor of represented organizations.
