Learning to write quality projects
April 10th-11th in Almaty, «Association of Women with Disabilities «Shyrak» is conducting a training course "Learning to write quality projects" for employees of non-governmental organizations working with people with disabilities from Almaty, Astana, and Kostanay.
The training is interactive and encourages active participation of listeners. Trainer Zahira Begalieva gives interesting practical tasks and exercises. Many participants admit that they have repeatedly submitted applications to various donor organizations but their lack of knowledge and skills in drafting the documents, inability to properly develop a budget, draw up a logical framework, or clearly state the goals and tasks did not allow them to succeed in receiving grants.
"I am very glad that I am participating in this training. I am here to learn how to develop projects and apply for grants because I am going to open my own business - a massage room where I will hire people with disabilities", – said one of the participants of the training, a disabled person Ella Petrovets from Talgar.
The training includes the following topics: basic objectives and concepts of fundraising: raising funds to support social projects and organizations; building long-term relationships with current and potential donors; target audience – how to define and influence it; rules for formulating project tasks by analyzing the needs and problems of target audience; a clear presentation of goals and objectives of the project, what is the difference between them and how not to confuse them? Creating a project plan and stages of its implementation; the project budget: where to start? Items of expenditure and necessary resources, evaluation and monitoring of project implementation as a tool to increase effectiveness, quality and transparency of NGOs’ work.
