Learning is the path to ability!

As part of the program to improve preschool education "Growing together!", implemented with the support of ERSAI Caspian Contractor LLC, held regular trainings on modern methods of training for teachers of the Mangystau region.

From October 30 to November 3, 2017 in Kuryk village, regional trainings on "Step by Step" technology and "Montessori" methodology were held, which were conducted by local experts from Kuryk village. Both trainings consisted of 30% theory, which was later complemented by practical exercises (70%).

27 people from 13 kindergartens of the region came to the training "Step by Step". Within five days, participants learned the basics of technology, the features of preschool education, learned how to make per-lesson and annual plans, involve parents, motivate children and assess their progress, and learned a lot of exercises that can be used in working with children and parents. 6 teachers on "Step by Step" technology of kindergartens village Kuryk (Kulynshak, Aigolek, Bolashak, mini-center at The regional boarding school) acted as trainers.

"It was the first time I participated in such training. I really liked the technology "Step by Step". It's great that children can be taught by dividing them into mini-centers, it helps to unlock the potential of each child. In my future work I will use the technology in my village. I’d be happy if there were more of such trainings", - said one of the participants of the training Altyn Carasova

The technology "Step by Step” is used in preschool and primary education and upbringing, and combines all the best traditions of world pedagogy. The technology offers effective solutions for the introduction of democratic and humanistic principles in the work of the teacher, enriches the national program with new approaches, meeting the requirements of the new time, provides personal development of the child and involves the family in the educational process. "Step by Step" helps to create classes with a child-centered approach, focused on the child to reveal his potential.

In parallel,  Kuryk village also held regional training for the continuing group "Montessori". After studying the zones of "sensory" And "Practical life", the group started to learn the zones of "Language" and "Space". Within the first component, 17 participants from the training area studied the features of the "Language" zone, learned how to expand vocabulary in children, teaching children writing and reading with the help of Montessori materials. The trainers were Montessori teachers of kindergartens Kuryk village (Aigolek, Western, Jansak, a mini-centre at the Regional boarding school).

"Second time I have involved in training by the method of "Montessori". This time we studied the zones of "language" and "space". At this training I received a lot of useful information, learned how to work with children to replenish their vocabulary, how to present knowledge about the world to children in a more interesting way. Both zones were very interesting. We have learned to apply this knowledge not only in Montessori classrooms, but also to use the approaches and materials of Montessori in traditional classes", - said one of the participants of the training, Aliya Zershal.

Nowadays, the Montessori method is one of the most popular methods in the world for the development of a child. A series of trainings will be aimed at a full study of Montessori materials. As is known, children cannot remember what they are unable to imagine, and Montessori materials help to develop feelings and meet the sensorimotor needs of the child. Using the system "Montessori" child learns comprehensive knowledge as easily as if it  was their native language.

Program "Growing together!" has been implemented since 2013 and is aimed at improving the quality of pre-school education in Kuryk village. The main objectives of the program are to improve the skills of teachers to meet the needs of children in development, preparing children for life through the training of necessary skills, the use of humanistic approaches and effective methods for the development of children, the involvement of parents in the educational process, ensuring the continuity of kindergartens and primary schools, the dissemination of knowledge by local experts in the Mangystau region. The program covers 7 kindergartens of the village, which opened 9 groups "Step by Step" and 5 offices "Montessori".
