Kuryk teachers develop the musical talents of their students

On October 5, 2015, the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia (EFCA) held a creative music contest among teachers from secondary schools in the village of Kuryk (Mangistau region) as part of the Initiative to Improve the Quality of Secondary Education in the Village of Kuryk, implemented with the financial support of ERSAI. The competition was timed to coincide with Teacher's Day, celebrated on October 4.

The competition was held with the aim of creating creative conditions for the self-realization of teachers and the strengthening of mutual understanding between students and teachers of various schools. The event enabled teachers to realize their own creative potential, as well as the highest possible level of success.

The competition included 24 teachers from four schools in the village of Kuryk. As part of the competition, they formed teams of 6 people: "Zhaңa Tolyn" (School № 1), "Aқ Zhelken" (Secondary School-Gymnasium), "Ulata" (School № 6), and "Kyzdar ay" (School № 9). They had to go through several stages of the competition, during which the participants demonstrated their talents.

After the announcement and the recognition of the winner, members of the jury thanked everyone for their participation, noting that the goal of the competition was to discover teachers’ talents, developing them not only professionally, but also creatively.

"We generally do not participate in contests such as KVN, but this one allowed me and our team to prove themselves creatively. I would like to express my gratitude to ERSAI and the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia for this opportunity,” says Dinara Kokhanova, a Russian language teacher at High School School No. 1, whose team took first place.
