Online Technologies in Support of Good Governance Reforms

The Regional workshop "Online Technologies in Support of Good Governance Reforms" was held on April 24-26 in Dushanbe.

The event was hosted within the USAID project “Good Governance Initiative Fund” realized in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

The goal was to study Internet technologies for scaling up of good and effective governance reforms.

Over 30 representatives of GGIF projects took part in the workshop. On the opening day they made presentations on interim results and projects’ successes.

The International experts – Ivan Pechishchev (Russia), Nikolay Pikhota (Kyrgyzstan) and Gulim Amirkhanova (Kazakhstan) – conducted trainings on tools, technological methods and communications channels for effective project realization (website, chatbot, presentations, infographics, live stream, etc.).

“This was the second time when I participated in the EFCA’s projects (Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia). This time it is a workshop through which we tried to give our colleagues a piece of advice on how to find a successful technological decision for effective project realization. It’s nice to mention that some projects have achieved sound results, some still need assistance. Anyway, workshop is a good opportunity to share experience and exchange ideas. I and my colleagues had a pleasure to work here”, - said trainer Ivan Pechishchev.

On the second day of the workshop attendees participated in three panel sessions on multimedia storytelling, SMM and data visualization.

“I am excited to know about interesting GGIF projects in Tajikistan. We have excellent trainers; we have a lot of practice. I have many ideas to realize; to change something in the information environment of our organization and around myself. Many thanks to the organizers of such an interesting event!”, - said Eugine Shreiber, Social and Corporate Fund “ZUBR”, Ust-Kamenogorsk.

According to Bakhtiyor Abduzhaborov, Director of the “Fund for Society Development” (Tajikistan), workshop was very useful. “We learned how to apply information technologies for further promotion of our effective ideas, our products, and location of new partners”.

Makhmudkhon Sarayev from the Presidency of Tajikistan made the presentation on the perspectives of Internet technologies in Tajikistan. Expert Farkhad Abdurakhmanov informed the audience on Internet Security in Tajikistan, his speech was followed by lovely discussion among participants.
