In the Mangystau region, the work on the dissemination of modern approaches in education continues

CF Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia (hereinafter-EFCA) continues to implement the social project "Growing together!" in the field of pre-school education with the support of ERSAI Caspian Contractor LLC.

Program "Growing together!" has been implemented since 2013 and is aimed at improving the quality of pre-school education in Kuryk village. The main objectives of the program are to improve the skills of teachers to meet the needs of children in development, training of children through life skills training, the use of humanistic approaches and effective methods for the development of children, the involvement of parents in the educational process, ensuring the continuity of kindergartens and primary schools, the dissemination of knowledge by local experts in the Mangystau region. The program covers 7 kindergartens of the village, which opened 9 groups of Step by Step and 5 offices of Montessori. 

The following events were held in the framework of the component of dissemination of modern approaches in education in Mangystau region: 

1) On September 27, 2017, Montessori demonstration classes were held for teachers and students of the Mangistau Humanities College (specialty "Preschool education"). 4 teachers and 57 students of the College visited classes in 4 classrooms of Montessori-based kindergartens in Kuryk village (Aigolek, Western, Jansak, a mini-centre at the Regional sanatorium boarding school). Students and teachers expressed their desire to revisit the Montessori group in may 2018, as well as to participate in demonstration classes on Step by Step technology, which will be held in December 2017.

2) Also, on 28 and 29 September 2017 in 4 Montessori groups and 5-year-groups Step by Step in 5 kindergartens in Kuryk village to consolidate the knowledge received at the training, 10-14 July 2017, internship 34 educator regional kindergartens of the 25 kindergartens of the region: 15 people have passed the practice on technology Step by Step and 19 people were practiced in groups Montessori (PLE and Sensory zone). All participants also took part in mini-sessions on deepening knowledge (production of practical material, work with parents), received new methodological material and certificates.

October 30-November 3, 2017 will be held regional training on Montessori technique (Language, Space education) for the continuing group of 14 kindergartens of the region, as well as training of the second stream of regional educators (new set) for teaching technology Step by Step from 10 kindergartens of the region.
