In Atyrau and Zhylyoi region a full-cycle support program for social entrepreneurship "Zharkyra" is launched

EFCA announced the launch of the social entrepreneurship development program "Zharkyra", which will be implemented in Atyrau and Zhylyoi region in 2016-17 with the financial support of "Tengizchevroil" LLP through social investment projects.

The program began with series of introductory seminars on social entrepreneurship, which are held on April 11-13 in Atyrau for active, beginners and potential social entrepreneurs of the city. On the April 14-15 a similar workshop will be held in Kulsary.

The seminar is conducted by the well-known social entrepreneur and business coach Galym Zhukupbaev. During three days participants will learn what social entrepreneurship is and what are the methods of searching for business ideas and resources, how to participate in the "Zharkyra" project, form an idea in the business application, and get 3.5 million tenge for the implementation of their ideas.

Then participants will be able to submit their concepts to the tender. In order to ensure openness and transparency of decision-making process of the contest the program Experts Council will be set up, which will include representatives of the National Chamber of entrepreneurs, the media, donors and other stakeholders. The authors of selected concepts will be trained and will be able to refine their ideas to the level of business plans. The best projects will receive funding and further support in the form of mentoring and exchange of experience.
