Improving the efficiency of public health services and social protection in the Kyzylorda region

Kyzylorda Oblast, Aiteke bi ave., Kazakhstan - April 15, 2016 Public Association "Initiative Support" within the "Initiative to Support Effective Governance" program on the project "In Priority - Health of the Nation!" Is holding a roundtable on "Improving the efficiency of providing and receiving of the state medical services and social protection in Kyzylorda region ".

The results of a survey of the population in the Kazalinsky district of the Kyzylorda region will be presented at the round table. In addition the most important issues of granting the guaranteed volume of free medical care and free medicines

to medical institutions of the Kazalinsky district using the ZOPP purposeful problem solving methodology in order to actively involve the population in the discussion of vital issues and the involvement of citizens and all stakeholders in decision-making processes at the local level with Kazalinsky government programs, as well as the use of effective accountability mechanisms is amongst the important issues to be discussed at the roundtable.

Increasing the role of the public in decision-making at the local level and constructive dialogue and cooperation with government bodies, medical institutions and business structures in the Kyzylorda region will positively affect the receipt of a guaranteed volume of free medical care.

Recommendations received during the roundtable will be used as a mechanism for public participation in monitoring a socially significant state program on affordable guaranteed medicines and providing medical services, and will serve as an example for participants of the program to be applied in other socially important areas.
