Good deeds program in work

Good deeds program in work

On the 20th April high school students conducted their first charity concert in Kuryk village Mangystau region. The event was organized by 12 volunteers and 50 students of 9-11 grades of three schools in Kuryk village (school-gymnasia, school №1, school №6), which participated in the training camp 2017-2018.

The concert was conducted in the focus of the “Good deeds program”, which was developed by the participants of the camp, emphasizing the deeds they are going to do in order to grow their village and help people in need.

The concert was visited by approximately 300 people- school students, their parents and friends. Students were able to collect 35 600 tenge, which will be used to buy all the needs for poor families in the village. Such events are the beginning of scholar and community self-organization that will help students to affect the life of village and the schools in a greater way.

“While preparing to the concert we wanted to cheer everyone, and we did it. We organized this charity concert for schools of our village, additionally to that we were able to collect money to help people of the village that are in need. “said Serik Aigalyuly, a student of school-gymnasia 11th grade Kuryk village.

Organization of such concert has brought us together even closer, we acquired experience in organizing similar events, and the success of this concert motivates us to further action and good deeds” added to the commentary Rysaly Ahmetuly, student Karakyan professional college.

We are happy that we can help those that in need, even though we are only kids. It encourages us.” Said Aimira Sagyndyk, student of school №6 10th grade.

Training camp was carried out by EFCA in the focus of the project “Learn together!”, undertaken with the support by ERSAI Caspian LLC company, aimed to unite students from different schools for harmonized development of village. The training camp program gives skills and knowledge that school education program doesn’t have time to: leadership, team-work, creative thinking, public speaking, project management, overcoming fear and inner psychological barriers, ceasing physical and psychological violence between students.
