Construction of a kindergarten for 140 children in Ust-Kamenogorsk has been started

Today in Ust-Kamenogorsk there was a ceremony of laying a capsule at the site of a future kindergarten for 140 children. This social project for the total amount of KZT 405 million is realized within the framework of the Memorandum of mutual cooperation on corporate social responsibility signed between the akimat of Ust-Kamenogorsk, the AES Group in Kazakhstan and the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia (EFCA) signed in 2014.

According to the signed Memorandum, the place for the construction of a kindergarten was determined by the akimat of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk in accordance with the general development plan for the city on ul. Mashinostroiteley (the area of the Reinforcement Plant), given the high demand for this social object for the residents of the microdistrict. After the construction, the building of the kindergarten will be donated to the city.

The deputy Akim of the East Kazakhstan region Zhaksylyk Omar, the vice-president of the AES corporation for Kazakhstan Duisen Mergaliev, the executive director of the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia Rinad Temirbekov, the representatives of the city akimat took part in the ceremony.

Opening the ceremony, Duisen Murgaliyev said: "This will be the second kindergarten, donated to the population of the East Kazakhstan region: previously we had donated a kindergarten for 160 children to Semey. This year marks the 20th anniversary of AES in Kazakhstan, and I am glad that it will be marked not only by the commissioning of turbo unit No. 12 at Ust-Kamenogorsk CHP, but also by an important social project for us.
