Children's festival in the microdistricts of Kulsary

June 1, 2015 —  for the residents of the microdistricts of Kulsary, an open festival dedicated to World Children's Day took place in the Dostyk and Zhansaya parks. This event was organized by the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia as part of the Orleu project, which was held with the financial support of Tengizchevroil LLP.

Animators from the company "Good Mood World" (city of Atyrau) were invited to help celebrate the holiday —  they gave children fun and joy; there were clown performances, pirates, and Disney cartoon characters. On the program was a treasure hunt, team games, competitions, and much more. At the same time, three teams of animators performed for different age groups.

A total of 180 children (4-14 y.o.) took part in the festival in Dostyk park, and 140 children (4-14 y.o.) in Zhansaya park at the age and about an equal number of parents. The festival was a success —  positive, grateful responses from parents serve as confirmation:

Azhar Utegenova, a resident of the 5th microdistrict says, "many thanks to Tengizchevroil and the Eurasia Foundation for this festival. I have 5 children —  before we had nowhere to go out with them, but now I can take them to a new park. Older children use exercise machines, play football, and younger children play in the playground, ride on the swings. But today, we have artists, clowns, and pirates. Everyone was having fun, my youngest daughter won a contest, and I'm very happy. Thank you!"

The parks were built by Tengizchevroil as part of Igilik program and were donated to the residents of the city. The Orleu social project of the EFCA is aimed at increasing the participation of microdistrict residents in park maintenance. So in April and May, residents held group initiatives to clean the park and take care of trees. Children held several flash mobs on the topic of protecting greenery and improving the environment.
