Almaty oblast akimat awarded USAID project with money certificate

Non-Government Organizations Forum of Almaty oblast “Competitiveness. Pragmatism. Transparency” took place on November 28-29, 2017 in the city of Taldykorgan.

The event was organized by the Department of Internal Policy of Almaty oblast akimat and aimed at further developing a dialogue between government and civic society promoting modernization and social reforms.

Two USAID/GGIF projects were represented at the forum: project “Farmers of Kazakhstan”, agrobiz.kz. realized in Almaty oblast by the Public Foundation “Local Community Foundation of Enbekshikazakh rayon” and project “Public services – available to all”, implemented by the Corporate Fund “Erekshe Tandau Shelek”.

Public Foundation “Local Community Foundation of Enbekshikazakh rayon” was announced to be the best in the nomination “Development of civic society” and was awarded with the money certificate of 100 000 tenge.

“Traditionally PF “Local Community Foundation of Enbekshikazakh

rayon” (project “Farmers of Kazakhstan”) works under support of the international organizations and companies, therefore we are much excited to receive a high recognition of our work from the part of Almaty oblast akimat. It is an appreciation of our activity, which becomes more valuable both for local farmers and for the region on the whole”, - said Bakytgul Elchibayeva, the head of the project “Farmers of Kazakhstan”.  

Apart from that the Executive Director of the “Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia” Rinad Temirbekov and Almaty oblast akimat signed the Agreement on Cooperation.   

Forum participants and guests were shown a video about NGOs, working in Almaty oblast.

An interesting concert program was a part of closing ceremony.
