Akimat: over 20 people daily visit website "Accessible Pavlodar"

Deputy akim of Pavlodar region Meiram Begentayev at the expanded board meeting of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of  Kazakhstan, held on February 21, 2017 in Astana, presented GGIF project "Accessible Pavlodar".

First, he reminded that the project "Accessible Pavlodar" is implemented by the Public foundation "TANDAU" with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the framework of the Eurasia Foundation for Central Asia (EFCA).

"The main vector in the formation of an accessible environment is a comprehensive system that ensures the rights and improves the quality of life of people with physical disabilities.  In this work, non-governmental organizations have been our assistants, or rather partners. For instance, public foundation "TANDAU" has created the website "Accessible Pavlodar", where information about the accessibility of buildings with photo and video reviews is posted”, - told M. Begentayev.

He added that the website has become very popular. “The website is visited daily by at least 20 people. The feature of the website is its user-friendly interface and, of course, its interactivity - users can add their suggestions, comments, and reviews”, - shared opinion regional deputy akim.

Among the participants of the board were Tamara Duisenova, Minister of Labor and Social Protection, representatives of the Administration of the President, Office of the Prime minister, central state bodies, deputies of the Parliament, akims of the oblasts and others.
