A training on inclusive education was conducted in the Rahat village

May 19 - the village of Rahat, Enbekshikazakh district. Public association of disabled people "Kamkor" held a training seminar for the specialists of secondary schools in rural districts on the models of inclusive education for further exchange of experience and improvement of the quality of education in the Enbekshikazakh district.

The training was held within the project "Movement", which is implemented with support of the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia at the expense of funds provided by the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Kazakhstan in the framework of the program "Strengthening the capacity of NGOs in South Kazakhstan for promotion of human rights reforms."

The training was attended by heads of the education department, school administrators, teachers, and specialists in teaching disabled children, parents' committee and representatives of the local media.

The seminar reviewed existing and recommended models of inclusive education, the laws "On inclusive education in the Republic of Kazakhstan" and "On the concept of rights of the disabled people", aimed at improving the quality of inclusive education and obtaining permission from parents of children with disabilities on their children's education in secondary schools with support of inclusive education program.
