A roundtable on "Business and NGOs: Mechanisms of Interaction" will be held in Almaty
On November 13 at 10:00, a roundtable on "Business and NGOs: mechanisms of interaction" will be held at Almaty Management University (at the following address: Almaty, 227 Rozybakieva Str., Hall 413).
The roundtable is made possible by the support of the NGO Expert Center and the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia as part of the Initiative for the Capacity Building of NGO Experts in Kazakhstan with the support of Chevron in Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the roundtable is to discuss mechanisms of interdisciplinary interaction in the search for joint solutions to social problems.
The participants of the roundtable are representatives of business and government structures, NGOs, and the academic community.
The following issues will be discussed at the event:
Is a partnership with non-profit organizations beneficial to businesses?
What do NGOs gain from partnering with businesses?
What social problems can such a partnership solve?
Why should businesses partner with NGOs?
Why should NGOs partner with businesses?
What factors contribute to a successful partnership?
Examples of successful long-term partnerships
What are the opportunities for collaboration between businesses and NGOs?
What is the "driver" for creating partnerships?
What forms of partnership exist?
The NGO Capacity Building Initiative project aims to improve the work of the NGO sector through strengthening institutional development in order to provide better services to the public. Improving the quality of trainings for trainers and NGO leaders with the goal of developing the capacity of NGO experts is one of the project's priorities.
