It has long been known that interaction with a horse has a positive effect on human health. Hippocrates claimed that "the sick gets better faster when goes riding."
Nowadays riding as a treatment method is recognized in many countries and is very popular in treating physiological and psychological diseases.
A resident of Kulsary city Gulmira heard many times about the benefits of horse riding. She is a mom of seven-year Anel with cerebral palsy. Gulmira regularly get treatment for her daughter in Atyrau and Almaty clinics and buys medicines and special exercise equipment.
In 2016, she discovered that in Kulsary had opened a horse riding club, which also works with children with cerebral palsy. Gulmira and her daughter became one of the first attendants of "Meyir Nur" club. They began to regularly attend classes in equestrian club and improvements in her daughter’s health appeared in a few months.
"When Anel for the first time mounted on a horse, she was not afraid, she liked it at once, she found the contact with the animal. After the first lessons she mood had improved, she began to take an interest in life around. Now Anel already is taking steps independently, and at home she trains at special exercise equipment. For a child with cerebral palsy it is a very tangible and meaningful result. I am very happy that in the city we have opportunity to practice therapeutics horse riding", - says Gulmira.
Gulmira has another son Ali, who also became a regular visitor to horse riding club. According to Gulmira, earlier Ali spent all his free time in front of a computer, and, consequently, moved little. The consequence was overweight. Visiting the therapeutic horse riding center changed teenager’s way of life. He began to move more, to spend time in the fresh air. According to Gulmira, Ali lost weight.
“Kids really like horseback riding. And I see that it gives good results. Most importantly - no need to travel far and spend a lot of money and travel times. I'm always telling, I advise everyone to visit the club. Myself will continue to attend it with my children”, - says Gulmira.
